[2002-Apr-02] My Hero Recipes

Since others have focused on Marvel heroes, I decided to start with DC. Added hero recipes for Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and the Martian Manhunter to the database. Build that Classic JLA team!

[2002-Apr-04] Darkseid!

The JLA needs someone to square off against, so I've added a Darkseid recipe.

[2002-Apr-07] Marvel!

Added new recipes for Aquaman (to round out the JLA's original lineup), Guy Gardner, and my first Marvel hero, Spider-Man!

[2002-Apr-09] Bunch O' Updates

A bunch of updates today. Added new recipes for Iron Man, Hulk, Cyclops, and Captain Marvel (DC). Added profiles for nine more Freedom Force Heroes to complete that set. Introduced a new pulldown to allow you to choose what list of recipes you would like to see. Minor tweaks (mostly animations, but a few had powers fine-tuned) to all the previous recipes, so you may want to check 'em out.

Rechristened the site, "Alex's Freedom Fortress" and updated all logos, etc.

[2002-Apr-28] EZ Danger Room!

Posted my EZ Danger Room tool which allows you to quickly and easily throw together a Danger Room to try out your customs. Want to have 10 Time Masters, 20 Man-bulls, and 30 alien warriors attack you? Now you can have it up and running in seconds. Also posted minor tweaks to Superman, Thor, and Captain Marvel.

Updated the EZ Danger Room - now play against custom characters, too!

[2002-May-10] Huge Recipe Update

Big update today! New recipes for: Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Fire, Ice (Justice League International lives again!), as well as Lightning Lad, Robin, and Ultra Boy. And I haven't forgotten the Marvel fans with new ones for: Black Widow, Human Torch, Magneto, Rogue, Storm, and the Thing. Also, minor updates to Aquaman, Captain Atom, and Captain America.

[2002-May-20] Mega Update

Mega-update today! New hero recipes for Beast, Bullseye, Green Arrow, Hawkeye, Lobo, Psylocke, and Sub-Mariner. And for you Titans fans: Cyborg, Deathstroke, Starfire, Tempest, and Troia. I finally get around to posting my long-promised Hero Conversion Tips. Also, minor updates to Amazo, Cyclops, Darkseid, Doomsday, Thor, Ultron, and Wolverine.

[2002-Jun-09] Giant-Size Update

GIANT-SIZE Update! 20 new recipes, heavy on the villains: Apocalypse, Bane, Black Adam, Dr. Doom, Enchantress, Galactus, Juggernaut, Kang, Poison Ivy, Psycho Pirate, and Thanos! From the Crime Syndicate of Amerika: Johnny Quick, Owlman, Power Ring, and Ultraman!

And so the bad guys don't completely take over: Dr. Fate, Dr. Strange, Raven, Superboy, and Azrael-Batman, though he could go either way :)

Plus, minor tweaks to: Aquaman, Beast, Booster Gold, Cyborg, Darkseid, Hulk, Human Torch, Magneto, Martian Manhunter, Psylocke, Superman, Thing, Thor, Troia, and Wonder Woman. And a new Portraits view of the Recipes.

[2002-Jun-21] X-Update

Been extremely busy working on two new FF mod projects, but I do have six new recipes for you all today: Finish off your Classic X-Men team with Archangel, Iceman, and Marvel Girl. Also for the X-fans, Sabretooth and Gambit! Finally, for the DC followers: Mon-El!

Plus, updated the Spider-Man recipe to use Irrational's new "Tangle Beam" power effect and a minor tweak to Captain Atom.

[2002-Jun-22] A little update ...

I've released a couple of more hero recipes which you may soon be seeing in action in a mod near you: Firestorm and Red Tornado! Plus, updated Captain America to use a custom power effect when throwing his shield (supplied by SpiderWolf). I wish we could see more of these custom powers like Thor's Hammer, Batarangs, etc.

[2002-Jun-24] JLA Mod announced

Not a real update, but some news you might find interesting. I have set up a page announcing one of the mods I am working on, now that it's deep into production. Hope you like it! Read all about it on my JLA page.

[2002-Jun-27] FX Fixes

Minor update. Fixed the sound problem on the Spidey's Webs power fx. Also added a sound to Cap's Shield power fx. Finally, updated the Gambit recipe to use the new "Kinetic Card" effect and gave that a sound as well.

Remember to get individual custom fx, you must have:
- The latest version of the hero file for the character
- The fx.dat and sounds.dat files from my Power FX page (look under "Goodies")
- The individual Power fx files (also on my Power FX page)

[2002-Jul-06] Material References

New recipes for Bronze Tiger, Cable, Creeper, Dark Phoenix, Deadshot, Iron Fist, and Power Man. Plus, updates (some are new meshes) to: Amazo, Batman, Captain Atom, Darkseid, Firestorm, Green Lantern (Kyle), Kang, Marvel Girl, Owlman, Sabretooth, Spider-Man, and Ultron.

Also, a handy "Materials and Resistances" chart in the Goodies section.

[2002-Jul-26] HUGE update!

New recipes for the Black Panther, Speedy, and the Silver Surfer.

But you gotta get the new mesh updates! New Meshes for Human Torch, Thor (with hammer power fx), and Vision! Make sure you get the latest Power FX files (in Goodies) too, to experience Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, in action!

Also, minor tweaks to Booster Gold, Brainiac 5, Dark Phoenix, Dr. Doom, Dr. Fate, Dr. Strange, Enchantress, Firestorm, Galactus, Green Arrow, Hawkeye, all Green Lanterns (Hal, John, Guy, and Kyle), Ice, Iceman, Magneto, Marvel Girl, Power Ring, Raven, Red Tornado, Sinestro, Troia, Ultra Boy, and Ultron. (whew!)

Updated the Firestorm recipe with The Beyonder's great new mesh!.

[2002-Jul-28] Steel Ants

Two new recipes: Ant-Man and Steel ! (make sure you get the Thor's Hammer effect for Steel to use!)

[2002-Jul-29] FF Patch 1.1 is out!

Just a quick note. The long-awaited FF patch (v1.1) is out! Because of some changes, the point values for my recipes will change. Will update these as soon as I can.

[2002-Aug-01] Introcing ... my EZ Power FX

The new EZ Power FX installer is ready! Grab it on the Goodies page and instantly have access to 17 custom power fx created by many talented folks, many of which I have used in my recipes. Including never-before seen fx by Mahu, created for the upcoming JLA mod.

I have also updated various recipes to use these FX and because of the new patch, including: Amazo, Batman, Flash, Flash (Barry), Green Arrow, Green Lantern, Green Lantern (John), Green Lantern (Kyle), Guy Gardner, Hawkeye, Johnny Quick, Kid Flash, Power Ring, Professor Zoom, Speedy, Steel, Superman, Troia, and Wonder Woman.

Note: These power fx should work whether or not you have the patch, but I have not tested it without the patch.

[2002-Aug-24] Mega-Size Update!

MEGA-SIZE UPDATE !!!

Six new recipes: Black Cat, Madame Xanadu, Max Mercury, Nightcrawler, Robin (Dick Grayson), and Shocker.

Plus, a new EZ Power FX installer (v1.1) is now ready! Grab it on the Goodies page to unleash 10 new fx and 3 updates: Batarang Bola, Batarang Edged, Batarang Explosive (updated), Bola, Hamster Dance (don't ask :) ), Red Tornado, Shuriken Explosive (renamed), Snowdrift, Snowstorm, S-Shield Wrap, Teleport BAMF, and Twin Beam Red. I also corrected a problem with Tangle Beam sounds.

And to take advantage of all the new power fx: Updates to Amazo, Batman, Flash, Flash (Barry), Ice, Johnny Quick, Kid Flash, Martian Manhunter, Mon-El, Nightwing, Owlman, Professor Zoom, Red Tornado, Robin, Sinestro, Storm, Superman, Tempest, Ultra Boy, Ultraman, and Vision.

Continuing with updates, I completed all patch-related tweaking, making minor mods to:
Apocalypse, Azrael-Batman, Bane, Black Adam, Black Canary, Black Widow, Booster Gold, Brainiac 5, Bronze Tiger, Bullseye, Captain America, Captain Atom, Captain Boomerang, Captain Marvel, Colossus, Cyclops, Daredevil, Deathstroke, Doomsday, Dr. Strange, Electro, Enchantress, Fire, Galactus, Kang, Lightning Lad, Magneto, Marvel Girl, Raven, Rogue, Spider-Man, Superboy, Thanos, Thing, Thor, and Wolverine. (whew!)

Also, all hero recipe pages have been updated to show the proper prestige point values (the patch affected these a bit).

[2002-Aug-31] The JLA Mod is released!

AT LAST, the JLA Mod is officially released! This first installment includes issues #1 through #3 and is designed to introduce you to the major characters. More issues to follow. Grab it now on the Goodies page!

[2002-Sep-21] EZ Power FX big update!

Seven (7) new recipes for Elongated Man, Flash (Jay), Hawkgirl, Maggott, Mr. Fantastic, Plastic Man, and Steppenwolf. Plus updates to: Batman, Black Canary, Blue Beetle, Daredevil, Dark Phoenix, Darkseid (new mesh!), Green Arrow (new mesh!), Hawkeye, Iron Fist, Martian Manhunter (new mesh!), Owlman, and Speedy.

I've also updated many of the skin and mesh links on my recipes to make it easier for you to get what you're looking for.

Last (but certainly not least!), a new EZ Power FX installer (v1.2) is now available! Grab it on the Goodies page to get a hold of a truckload of new fx, bringing the total number up from 32 to 109! Yes, you heard me, 109! Special thanks to Captain Uncular for doing the heavy lifting on this update!

Gregory, aka shadojak, (who had been posting them as "Daily Bugles" on the FF forums). You can expect updates every week or so.
